Sun Temple dedicated to the solar deity Surya is located at Modhera village of Mehsana district, situated on the bank of the river Pushpawati. It was built in 1026-27 AD during the reign of Bhima of the Chaulukya dynasty. The temple complex has three components: Gudhamandapa, the shrine hall; Sabhamandapa, the assembly hall; and Kunda, the reservoir.
Patan is famous for “double Ikat” weaving work which brings the same design on both sides, wearable on both sides and the even weaver cannot distinguish the front from the reverse. Rani ki vav is an intricately constructed stepwell situated in the town of Patan. It is located on the banks of Saraswati River.
